Developing a Child's Emotional IQ

What makes the difference between children that succeed and children that struggle in life? The evidence is strong that understanding and managing their own emotions, and successfully understanding the behavior of other people, will significantly alter a child’s success in life. This ability is called emotional intelligence, and each child has varying degrees of self-awareness and skill.  Can parent and teachers enhance a child’s emotional intelligence at home and at school? YES! This workshop will discuss the latest in practical techniques to support parents and teachers in helping kids develop their emotional IQ skills.  Please join us at Capitol School of Austin!
When: Thurs, Feb. 23 6:30-8 pm
Where: Capitol School, 2011 W. Koenig Ln, Austin 78756
Speaker: Claire Flynn, M.Ed.
